Erythritol is a calorie-free, natural and tooth-friendly sugar substitute. Xucker Light with erythritol is the ideal sweetener as part of a calorie-conscious diet. The sweetness corresponds to about 70% of the sweetness of sugar. Erythritol crystals look similar to sugar or xylitol. Erythritol is easily soluble and of all sugar alcohols it is best tolerated because it is excreted almost completely unchanged. In Japan, erythritol has been used in many foods and medicines since 1990. Diabetics in particular appreciate its absolutely blood sugar-neutral properties.
