Le Sirupier de Berne "Elfen" Syrup
Extracts of lemongrass, lemon balm, as well as fennel and anise seeds give this syrup its spicy, fresh character.

As if conjured by Nordic nature spirits, it feels light, aromatic, and refreshing like a breeze on the North Sea. A fabulously balanced syrup with a special herbal note.

Traditionally, the herbs contained are also associated with a soothing effect on abdominal well-being.

Diluting
Dilute the syrup with water according to your preference, still or sparkling, hot or cold. As a basic recipe, we recommend a mixing ratio of 1:7 to 1:10.

Usage instructions
Syrup in the kitchen: The syrup is excellent for seasoning sauces and dishes. In sweet and sour cuisine, lemongrass, plum, elderflower, Elfen, and fir shoot in particular unfold their full aroma and ensure a balanced taste.

Chutneys can also be refined with almost all syrup varieties from Le Sirupier de Berne, depending on your mood.

Shake well before use and store properly.

All products from Le Sirupier de Berne are produced naturally. Therefore, cloudiness can occur, also known in Bernese German as "Schlirgge". After a short, vigorous shake, the syrup becomes clear again.

These natural changes do not affect taste or quality. On the contrary, they show that no additives are used. The minimum shelf life of the syrups is one year.

Mixing and blending
For mixed drinks with carbonated water, beer, prosecco, or similar drinks, we recommend stirring the syrup first. This preserves the "bubbles" and the desired "fizz".

For drinks and cocktails, the syrups can be used undiluted and mixed in directly.

Drink Recipe
Crushed Sirupier

• 1cl each of Elfen and Lemon Balm Syrup
• 4cl Vodka
• ¼ orange with peel, cut into cubes
• 2cl freshly squeezed lemon juice
• Crushed ice
• Tonic water

Place all ingredients – except tonic water and crushed ice – into a 3dl glass and crush. Finally, add the ice and top up with tonic water.

Storage information

Please do not store the syrup in the refrigerator. Temperatures that are too low can cause larger sugar crystals to form. If a syrup has been stored too cool by mistake, simply place the bottle under warm water. The sugar will dissolve again.
