THE IDEA

In case you didn't know, the 'Pip' in Pip & Nut is a real person, me, Pip Murray, founder and 'Chief Squirrel' at Pip & Nut. Here's a whistle-stop tour of the story behind Pip & Nut, from how it started, to how it's going in 2023.

The first seed for Pip & Nut was planted in January of 2013 when I started making my own natural nut butters at home to fuel my marathon training. I’d felt frustrated at the available nut butter options on shelf which were often filled with palm oil, a leading cause of deforestation, alongside other unnecessary artificial additives and flavourings.

I wanted a natural peanut butter packed full of protein and healthy fats, so I decided to take matters into my own hands, or blenders, if you will.

IMPACT REPORT

As a B Corp, we are committed to producing an annual Impact Report which details our sustainability progress and plans for future improvement. This helps us maintain accountability and transparency across all areas of our business.

CARBON

We're a proud carbon neutral company. This means we have offset 100% of our carbon emissions across our full value chain (Scopes 1-3) since 2021.

As part of this, we are supporting a fantastic project in Indonesia called ‘The Sumatra Merang Peatland Project’. Follow the link below to see more about how they are restoring and saving vital, biodiverse peatland areas from being farmed for palm oil.

However, we know that offsetting alone is not enough, which is why we are committed to becoming Net Zero by 2040.
