This certified organic kelp is sourced from Canada. One 350mg capsule contains about 300-340μg of iodine.
Kelp belongs to the brown algae and is used because of the high iodine content to remedy an iodine deficiency. Iodine is a mineral needed to make thyroid hormones, which are necessary for maintaining normal metabolism in all cells of the body. People who avoid dairy, seafood, processed food, and iodised salt can become deficient.
