Naturata beet sugar white in Demeter quality

During the production of beet sugar, the organic sugar beets are first washed, crushed and boiled. The beet juice is purified and evaporated into syrup. Some added sugar crystals ensure that the sugar in the concentrate crystallizes. Subsequently, the molasses is separated with the help of centrifuges. In contrast to sugar cane molasses, this has an unpleasant and too intense taste, which is why it has to be completely removed – which is why the beet sugar is also white. However, molasses also separates substances such as vitamins and minerals. Nevertheless, Demeter beet sugar is not a refined product. It would be refined sugar (sugar of the highest purity) if, after the last processing step, it was re-treated with water vapor (dissolving) and this syrup was boiled again, centrifuged and allowed to crystallize.
