Organic Naked Oats from Spielberger Mill – A Versatile Ingredient in Demeter Quality

For naked oats, only carefully selected Demeter-quality oats are used, which are naturally hull-free. Unlike conventional oats, naked oats do not need to be dehulled – preserving more of their valuable nutrients. The grain is processed particularly gently to retain as many natural nutrients as possible. Its pleasantly mild, slightly nutty flavor makes it the perfect ingredient for many dishes – whether as freshly ground grain in muesli, cooked as porridge, crushed for patties, or milled into flour for hearty and sweet baked goods. Naked oats are an ancient grain variety and are ideal for a wholesome, conscious diet.

Use naked oats ground or rolled into flakes for warm porridges or fresh-grain mueslis, as well as for patties or soups. Cooked, they make a nutritious side dish or a base for stews and casseroles.

Usage Basic recipe: Soak naked oats overnight in water, then cook in fresh water for about 20–25 minutes until tender. Naked oats are extremely versatile in the kitchen. They are suitable for mueslis, porridges, patties, casseroles, or as a base for grain salads. When freshly ground or milled, they can also be used for baking bread and pastries.
