Arche Organic Arrowroot Starch is a versatile, neutral-tasting thickener made from the tropical arrowroot plant (Maranta arundinacea). It’s perfect for thickening sauces, soups and desserts, and also great for gluten-free baking of delicate pastries and breads.
Preparation tip To thicken 250 ml of liquid, dissolve 2–3 level teaspoons (approx. 10 g) of arrowroot starch in a little cold water, stir into the liquid, bring to a boil slowly and simmer briefly. As an egg substitute, mix 3 tablespoons of arrowroot starch with 2–3 tablespoons of water per egg.
